MacUsers.co.uk ("we", "us") operates this website and membership service. We are the data controller for the personal data described in this policy. If you have any questions about your data, or wish to exercise any of the rights described below, please contact us through the contact details published on our website.

We are not affiliated with Apple Inc.

• Account data — your name and email address when you register, and your password (stored only in encrypted form by our platform provider).
• Membership and payment data — your subscription plan, membership status and the customer and subscription references created by Stripe. We never see or store your full card details.
• Content you submit — the questions you post in the tech support forum and your live session reservations.
• Technical data — cookies and similar identifiers needed to keep you signed in, plus basic usage information about how pages are used.

• To create and manage your account and give you access to members-only areas — lawful basis: performance of a contract.
• To take payment for your membership and manage renewals and cancellations — performance of a contract.
• To answer the questions you post, including by recording a video reply — performance of a contract.
• To send you service messages about your membership and upcoming live sessions — performance of a contract.
• To keep the site secure, prevent abuse and improve how it works — legitimate interests.
• To place non-essential cookies — your consent, which you may withdraw at any time.

We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with the service providers that make this site work:

• Stripe — payment processing and subscription management.
• Base44 — the platform that hosts this website, its database and our authentication.
• Video and meeting providers — where tutorials or live sessions are hosted (for example YouTube, Vimeo, Zoom or Google Meet).

Some of these providers process data outside the UK. Where that happens, transfers are protected by appropriate safeguards such as the UK International Data Transfer Addendum or Standard Contractual Clauses.

We keep your account and membership data for as long as you remain a member, and for up to six years after your membership ends where we need to for tax and accounting purposes. Forum questions and their video answers are kept as part of our support library unless you ask us to remove them. You may ask us to delete your account at any time.

Under the UK GDPR you have the right to:

• be told how your data is used, and to request a copy of it;
• have inaccurate data corrected;
• have your data erased where there is no continuing reason for us to keep it;
• restrict or object to how we process your data;
• receive your data in a portable format;
• withdraw consent for anything you consented to, including optional cookies.

To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the details on our website. We will respond within one month. If you are unhappy with our response you may complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.

This service is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13. If you believe a child has registered, please contact us and we will remove the account.
